What an amazing evening at Stone & Chalk in Sydney on 7th November for LinkedIn Local Sydney!
One of my favourite things about being a career coach, is to encourage my clients to become proficient at networking. Especially when making a career change, it’s important to expand your network, make genuine connections and ask for advice and guidance. I tend to get a fair bit of push back about networking because the perception is that it’s all about ‘sales’ and ‘pitching’.
My co-host, Jillian Bullock and I are on a mission to make networking a pleasurable experience for everyone and we host #LinkedInLocalSydney events which embody the ethos of LinkedIn Local events – no pitching and no selling at our events. The focus is on making a genuine connection always!
This month we decided to take it a step further and help to raise funds to help our Australian farmers who are doing it tough due to the drought and give back to our community.
We held a LinkedIn Expert Panel event and Networking fundraiser which drew the crowds and everyone enjoyed connecting in an authentic environment dedicated to supporting an important cause.

What an amazing night with the LinkedIn Ninja Down Under, Jillian Bullock, Yve Lavine – Photographer, photographer extraordinaire. We were delighted that linkedinlocal co-founder Anna McAfee, flew in from Coffs Harbour to join us on our panel of experts.
Talented MC, Warwick Merry CSP, who kept us all on our toes and laughing. And to complete our line-up of LinkedIn expert panelists, we had LinkedIn video guru, Geoff Anderson, and Dion Woo, LinkedIn charity supporter.
